The scandal with the admission of illicit drug Mildronate among Russian athletes continued. Today, March 9th, it became known that at least two athletes from the women's team of Russia on short-track found to use of Meldonium. Media reported that suspicion fell short of tregistry 20-year-old Ekaterina Strelkova, 20-year-old Ekaterina Konstantinova and 31-year-old Tatiana Borodulina.
It is clarified that athletes are not part of the team that will be performing at the world Cup, starting March 11 in Seoul. Strelkov was removed at the last moment.

1 January 2016 MicroNet was included in the list of banned drugs world anti-doping Agency. The other day it became known that the doping tests have not been Mildronate Olympic medalist and tennis player Maria Sharapova, leader of the Russian men's team short track Semyon Elistratov, Olympic figure skating champion Yekaterina Bobrova, volleyball Moscow "Dynamo" and team Russia Alexander Markin and five-time world champion in speed skating Pavel Kulizhnikov.
WADA has published a study according to which Mildronate found in the blood of 17 per cent of Russian athletes, while only 2 percent of athletes from other countries. Some experts believe that the introduction of the drug in the prohibited list can turn into a serious problem for Russian sports.
